Age Range: 15 months to 6 years
Tuition: We offer half-day, full-day and partial week schedules for 15 months to 6 years
of age.
Rates: Rates vary depending upon age of the child and the number of days/ hours per
week attended. Please call for specific rates. A 5% tuition discount for University or Hospital employees and students.
The school provides free care for siblings of parents who are temporarily residing at the Ronald McDonald House while their children are being cared for at the UNC Hospital.
Accreditation: Montessori Certified teachers through American Montessori Society and
Association of Montessori International.
Application deadline: We offer rolling admissions, based on availability.
Application Fee: $150, non-refundable.
School year starts: Late August; but we provide care and enroll children on a year-round basis program.
School hours: 7:30am – 5:30 pm; Half-day hours: 8:30am – 12:00 pm. Extended Day
Schedule is 8:30am to 3:30 pm, After-care is from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Class size: Toddlers 6- 8, Primary classroom is 18-20.
Student Teacher Ratio: excellent/ low ratios
Boy / Girl quota: We do not have a quota, but seek balance in the classroom.
Toilet training: Not required; will assist.
Parent Participation: There is no requirement; however, we encourage parent
involvement. We offer parent information gatherings and activities through-out the year.
Special Features: We are one of the few Montessori Schools that offers a full or half
day schedule for children of all ages. Small “boutique” school with limited space;
low teacher/ student ratios and high levels of academic and personal development.
In addition to the Montessori curriculum, we offer Spanish, cooking, and
yoga.
