Age range:  Ages 2 – 4

Tuition: A range of tuitions is available, starting at $450 per month.

Scholarships available: Yes.  We offer Flexible Tuition for full time (5-day) Preschool families.

Accreditation: Lerner’s 5-Star preschool and elementary school are dual accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS) and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS).

Application deadline: The Lerner Preschool program welcomes applications from children of all faiths, and admits students on a rolling basis.  We encourage families to apply prior to
January 15th.  Late applications will be accepted on a space-available basis.  Parents are notified of admissions decision in mid-February.

Application fee:   $50, non-refundable

School starts:  Late August

School runs: Through early June.  Preschool Summer Camp for children ages 2 – 4  runs from mid-June to early August.

Scheduling options:  Lerner offers a variety of scheduling options:  5-Day Students, Half Day: 8am – 1pm, Full Day: 8am – 3pm, Extended Day: 8am – 6pm, 3-Day (Mon, Wed, Fri) Students  (for 2’s and 3’s only) – Little Lerners  8:30am – 1pm , Full Day (3pm) and Extended Day (6pm) options available , Early care starting at 7:15am is available for an additional fee

Class size:  Two year old — 14 children, Three year olds — 16 children, Four year olds — 18-20 students, The Little Lerners combined class (two and three year-olds) — 14 children

Student:teacher ratio:  Two year olds – 7:1, Three year olds – 8:1, Four year olds – maximum 10:1

Boy/girl quota:  Lerner strives to maintain gender balance in each classroom.

How toilet-trained do children need to be?   Children do not need to be toilet trained.

Parental participation required:  Not required, but it is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Special features: The Lerner School lays the foundation for students to become engage, lifelong learners, offering: Nurturing individualized attention with low student-to-teacher ratios. Weekly enrichment activities with our specialists, including PE, Music, Art and Library Time.   They also enjoy cooking, gardening and learning in our outdoor classroom. Special Jewish programming, where Hebrew and Judaics are joyfully woven into everyday life through storytelling, art, challah baking and singing.  Preschoolers cherish Jewish culture by participating in weekly Havdallah and Shabbat celebrations, and holiday traditions such as Lunch in the Sukkah, Simchat Torah, candle lighting, Purim carnival and Passover Seder to name a few. Book Buddies, where preschool students meet weekly with Lerner 3rd, 4th and 5th graders to read and work on projects together. School-wide programs, including a variety of musical performances and Field Day.
