Class size: Every preschool through 4th grade classroom has two full-time teachers facilitating differentiated instruction through project-based learning, incorporating a student-centered approach. A low student/teacher ratio is essential to achieving our mission.

Student:teacher ratio: Preschool and kindergarten, 8:1; 1st–4th grades, 11:1; 5th–8th grades, 12:1.

Boy/girl quota: No, although we try to remain as close to a 50/50 gender balance as possible.

How toilet-trained do children need to be? All children must be completely toilet-trained prior to the first day of school.

Parental participation required: Parent involvement is encouraged and considered vital to Duke School’s success.
